The 2009-10 winter sports season will begin soon. Athletes who wish to participate in a winter sport must stop by the athletic office for clearance. Each athlete will need to have on file: a yellow parent permission form and a current physical (freshmen physicals are fine). These forms are available at the main entrance or the athlteic office. By IHSA bylaws, an athlete must have a physical every 12 months to participate in tryouts or practices. Athletes will also need to have passed 4 core classes last semester to be eligible to compete this winter and maintain that throughout the semester. If an athlete participated in a fall sport, they only need to stop by the athletic office and get a clearance form to give to their new coach. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE 1ST DAY OF PRACTICE TO GET THE FORMS INTO THE ATHLETIC OFFICE AS THE LINE IS OFTEN VERY LONG AND ATHLETES MAY BE LATE TO THEIR 1ST PRACTICE.
