Raiders Soccer Defeats the Porters in OT 3-2

Bolingbrook traveled to Lockport to take on the porters in a SWSC bLue match. The Raiders came out firing on all cylinders to take a 1-0 lead. Charlie Hanson found the back of the net on a header from a corner kick taken by Alex Cruz. Later second half Arturo Cruz was taken down in the box just before shooting and was awarded a PK. Arturo Crux scored on the PK to push the score to 2-0. Lockport came right back 10 minutes later to cut the lead to 2-1. Late first half Lockport was given a controversial PK do to physical play in the box on a corner kick. The Raiders went into the 2nd half tied 2-2. The second half saw the Raiders squander several chances to put the game away in regulation. The Raiders cam out in overtime determined to end the game quickly. With the darkness approaching quickly Humberto Zermeno won the game on a redirect blast from the top of the box that went over keepers head to win the game 2:30 into OT. Raiders win 3-2
