KRIS YOO WINS HER SECOND IHSA GIRLS GOLF STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to Kris Yoo on her repeat as an individual IHSA Girls Golf State Champion. Kris was leading the field after the first 18 holes of competition. Kris battled high winds, rain, and cold during the second day of competition. Things looked bleak for Kris as she slipped to 2 shots down with 9 holes to play. Kris kept her poise and birdied hole 17 and parred hole 18 to move into a tie and sudden death play. Kris was again in familiar territory, as she had won last years state championship during sudden victory play. It took Kris only one hole and an incredible 15 foot put to seal her victory and become a 2-time IHSA Girls Golf State Champion. Great job Kris Yoo and Coaches, Diana Johannesen, Tammy Graeme, and Megan Hebert.
