Girls' Tennis Gets Second Straight Conference Win
The varsity girls' tennis team won their second straight conference match on Monday. They beat Morton with an impressive 5-2 score. Singles winners were Chelsey VanHoose and Jessica Mueller with scores of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-1 respectively. Three out of the four doubles teams also won. The 1st doubles team of Angela Streza and Daniela Simpson won 6-1, 7-5. The last two doubles team both won close three set matches that didn't end until it was dark outside. Karolina Kielbania and Wioleta Gryzmala won at 2nd doubles with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 while Griselda Tostado and Lupe Beltran won at 4th doubles with a score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. The girls hope that these two wins will give them good momentum going into the conference meet this Friday and Saturday at Downers Grove South.
