Rebecca Batliner Wins Palatine Invite
Many successful cross country teams toe the line each year at the prestigious Palatine Invite; Barrington being one of them. The so-called "Meet of Champions" was overtaken by Barrington's own Rebecca Batliner. Only a Freshman, Rebecca held her own against some of Illinois' top competitors. Rebecca blazed through the course with a time of 16:55, breaking the meet record.
While Rebecca was leading the way, her teammates were hard at work, defending every spot possible. Sophomore Elizabeth Tracy claimed top-30 honors, by placing 12th overall. The Fillies squad earned a 4th place team finish, missing the 3rd place spot by 1 point to Lions Township.
