Barrington Girls' Varsity Cross Country Challenges Hoffman Estates
Two highly qualified cross country teams toed the line at Barrington Pond on Thursday evening, however, one was only able to come out on top. The Fillies of Barrington fought tooth and nail against State ranked Hoffman; falling just short of a victory. Freshman Rebecca Batliner set the pace early and created a comfortable lead against the strong Hoffman pack. The Fillies' pack put up a good fight, but was unable to break up the Hawks' unit.
Results: 1st-Rebecca Batliner (18:31), 7th-Elizabeth Tracy (19:18), 8th-Colleen Shandley (19:35), 10th-Kaila Privatsky (19:38), and 11th-Alexa Argianas (19:40)
