"Volleyball Brings Home 2nd place at IHSA State Finals" |
The Knight's volleyball team finished their season today with a 3 game thriller for the IHSA State Championship. After dropping the first game, they bounced back to take game two, even after being down 23-24 and on the verge of game point. Unfortunately, they lost 3 game and finished as IHSA Class 2A Runners-Up. They lost to Freeburg High School, who was 40-2 on the season and defending IHSA Class 2A State Champs. The scores of the games were 19-25, 26-24, 17-25. Our girls finished the season with a record of 28-11 and the second place finish at the IHSA State Finals is the best finish in school history. Congratulations to our girls on a great season!!! Thank you to all of our fans who supported us at the State Tournament this weekend.
