Warrior Golfers' Give Strong Showing in Conference Tournament
The Warrior girl golfers finished 3rd in the CSL Conference. The team scored a 362, which is their low score of the season, to capture 4th place in the tournament and 3rd place for the season. The Warriors were again led by the fine play of Tracey Wool (83, T 7th place), and also had solid contributions from Samantha Steinberg (90), Kathleen Ready (93), and Stephanie Korompilas (96).
The girls will compete this Saturday at the Blue Devil Invite hosted by Warren High School at Bittersweet Golf Club. The Invite will be a tune up for IHSA Regionals next Wednesday when the girls will again play at Bittersweet Golf Club. The team will be looking to be the 1st Deerfield girls golf team to advance to Sectionals in 17 years.
