DEERFIELD GIRLS’ TENNIS – 2009

SECTIONALS UPDATE: WHAT A GREAT TOURNAMENT FOR DHS GIRLS’ TENNIS! Why? First, we qualified all 4 entries for the State Tournament (which runs Thursday-Saturday next week – more info to follow on Tuesday, when I find out the draws, seeding and locations our girls will have). And second, as a team, we are SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS!!

Individually, our players finished as follows (top 4 in both singles and doubles in the Sectional qualify for State):

Julia – first in singles

Ellie/Lexie – 2^nd in doubles

Alexis – 3^rd in singles

Lizzie/Meghan – 3^rd in doubles

Also, I want to thank Coaches Daube #2, Vora, Leighton and Daube#1 for their assistance – they are the best!

Finally, I want to thank all of the girls/parents who came out to support our players. I cannot tell you how much it meant to have all of you there. I really appreciate you taking the time on such a cold, raw day to come out, sit in the dreary weather, so that you could support the TEAM!

I AM SO PROUD OF ALL 6 OF THE GIRLS – THEY PLAYED SUCH GREAT TENNIS, AND TOTALLY DESERVE THE HONOR OF REPRESENTING DHS AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT1
