Varsity Swimmers take 1st in Evanston Invite
It was the 5th annual Evanston Invitational on Friday, October 2nd, a meet which uses power point rankings of all swimmers with their times going against the best times ever clocked in specific events. Points are scored based on percentage points of swimmers' times and the "best" times. This format promotes team points and depth as well as having swimmers swim in their strongest events. The power point scale is set by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.
ETHS placed 1st in the meet with 5,030 points. The remaining teams were 2nd place Lake Forest with 4,855, Loyola Academy with 4,786, Notrde Dame with 4,061, then The Latin School, Oswego and Byron.
