Congratulations to the Varsity Wrestling team for winning their 10th consecutive IHSA Regional on Saturday. This win advances the team to the team sectional on February 23 at Leyden. Individual Place winners were: 4th Place-Mario Rodriguez. 3rd Place- Wade Hazard. 2nd Place-Brian Gonzalez and Dan Buyle. Champions-Johnny Gosinski, Joey Gosinski, Brian Murphy, and Chris Wahrman. The top three finishers advance to this week individual sectional here at Glenbard North. The first two rounds start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by wrestle backs and semi finals at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the finals starting at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday evening

The Varsity beat West Chicago 82-57 with 10 players scoring on the night including James Fleming with 24, Anthony Keener with 19 and Reggie Davis and Josh Fleming with 8 a piece. Congratulations to the Girls Gymnastics team for winning their regional last night and qualifying as a team to sectionals. Amber Fox won vault, floor, and the all-around and Christina Rini won bars and beam and have both qualified as individuals to sectionals. Congratulations to senior Amoni Reynolds who was named the "Daily Herald Player of the Week" for DuPage County. Amoni tallied 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 assists and 6 blocks in a win over West Chicago on Thursday. She then added 28 points on 10 of 14 shooting from the field in a win over Glenbard East on Saturday. SPRING TEAM AWARENESS: On Tuesday, March 16 we will be conducting our first Spring Team Awareness Night at 6:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium. The purpose of this event is to cover topics such as the code of conduct, athletic fee, booster club information, and overall conduct. Who needs to attend? Any athlete and parent who is in a spring sport and did not attend a previous team awareness night. If an athlete already attended in the fall or winter they do not have to attend. What happens if they don't attend? It depends on the number. Consequences could range from not being able to participate to having to take time out of practice to watch a video presentation.
