Grant Defeats North Chicago
The Varsity Football team finished the season and sent out the Seniors in a big way on Friday night by defeating North Chicago 42-6 and completing a 4-5 season, thus missing the IHSA State Playoffs for the first time since 2004. The Dogs were led offensively by Leo Minne (over 100 yards rushing and 3 TD’s), Dan Hourihan (over 100 yards rushing and 2 TD’s) and Alex Cacchione (1 TD). The defense, led by Danny Pranzcke, David Gaghan and Scott Ray, held the Warhawks to 8 yards of total offense and snagged away 3 interceptions, 1 apiece by Nolan Hebein, Austin Thorsen and Quinn Watters. A special thank you goes out to all of those who braved the elements and for their support all season.
