NSC Conference Meet
The Cross Country team competed Saturday at the North Suburban Conference Meet hosted by Warren. The team came away with 18 Personal Bests, 2 Seasonal Bests, and 3 All Conference Runners. The Girls Varsity team placed 11th with 251 points. Audrey Carrothers (19th, PB 19:14) and Kacie Wodek (28th, PB 19:33) both earned their 1st All Conference honors by finishing in the top 30. Other top performances were turned in by Tara Cwiak (65th, PB 21:07), Kyra Schmidt (68th, PB 21:12) and Kassie Stimpson (71st, PB 21:16). The Boys Varsity had the best team performance of the day, finishing in 7th Place with 240 points. Ryan Mamerow (10th, PB 15:46) led the way for the Boys and earned his 2nd All Conference honors in the process. Travis Jorgensen (50th, PB 17:18), Justin Sanchez (54th, PB 17:29), Trent Peters-Clarke (58th, PB 17:39), Titus Lotz (68th, SB 18:07) and Jay Wisniewski (PB 18:18). The Girls JV team placed 10th with 281 points. Morgan Jahnke (67th, PB 22:13), Itzel Martinez (72nd, PB 22:18), Stephanie Oehrlein (SB 24:08) and Jessica Bueno (PB 24:11) all had excellent performances for the Girls. The Boys JV team placed 9th with 271 points. Leading the way were Parker Simpson (95th, PB 18:40), Chris Oliver (PB 18:57), Ben Soumar (PB 19:38), Sam Dunlap (PB 20:26) and Jonathan DeVito (PB 21:02).
