Giants Move on to Sectionals - First Time Since 2004!
For only the second time in school history, the Girls Golf Team has qualified for the State Sectional Tournament to be held Monday, October 12th at Buffalo Grove Golf Course. The Lady Giants came in second place with their best showing ever in a Regional Tournament! They battled the winds and cold temperatures along with soft conditions at Bittersweet Golf Course in Gurnee all day long. Their score of 361 was second only to Stevenson (348). Jane Seder led the way with an one over par 37 on the front nine. Jane was the 3rd place medalist with an 81 (37-44). Nicole Feierberg, the 4th place medalist, shot 83 (40-43). Nicole Jackson's 91 (45-46) was good for 9th place overall. Tina Berardi (50-56) rounded out the team score for the Giants with a 106. The girls will continue their best season on Saturday at the Exmoor Invite and then Sectionals on Monday.
