Senior Night Ends Great
It was a cold one for Senior night, but the Hornets got the job done with a score of 3-0. Although the seniors played excellent in the win, it was the juniors who handled the scoring. Joe Petrak found the net first by using his head to score off a cross by Matt Warta into the box. After a 1-0 lead at halftime the hornets came out strong in the second half. There were many great opportunities for the hornets but they could not seem to find the back of the net until the 60th minute. Jon Beavis set up a 40 yard free kick as if he would sail it across and into the far side box, but his heads up play was a short chip over a nearby defender to Nick Henry who went directly to the goal and layed a nice pass off to Matt Warta who simply tapped in the 2nd goal. The final goal was another set-up by Henry, where he found Andrea Bina who had a beautiful, yet powerful shot that beat the Proviso Goalkeeper.
Senior Goalkeeper, Ryan Knoelk earned the Shut-Out in the net with 6 saves for the Hornets.
