Proviso East	14

Freshman Hornets=Conference Champions

Overcoming a very tough Proviso East defensive line the Hornets were able to finish the season strong with a 22-14 win in the rain and mud. With the win, the Hornets (8-1) were able to clinch the conference title for the West Suburban Gold Conference. Nathan Andrews was a star in this game with several huge catches and the defense was outstanding. Devonte Washington and D.J. Deolitsis also had touchdowns. E.J. Mazzei recovered a key onside kick and Jerry Stoltz had an interception. Deolitsis and Justin Ward added two very important two point conversions. Coach Guritz would like to congratulate all the boys for a wonderful season and would especially like to thank a great group of parents for their work at home football games and for all the sacrifices they have made to support their child as part of our program. Please plan to attend our athletic awards night in several weeks and thanks for a great season.
