Hoffman Estates High School is located on the north side of Higgins Road (Route 72), west of the Higgins Road and Golf Road (Route 58) intersection and east of Barrington Road.

ATHLETIC SITES BY SPORT

Please Note:  Handicap access to the building for athletic events is at entrance #8, which is located on the north side of the building, near the east end.

GIRLS BADMINTON

• Varsity/Junior Varsity matches are played in one of the following locations:

North Shelf, which can be accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing on to the staircase, and then proceeding up the stairs.  Or by going up the stairs located inside the lower east entrance, outside of the main gym, and proceeding past the upper bleachers.

Back Gym, which can be accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing past the staircase, and proceeding to the end of the building.

West Shelf, which can be accessed by walking through the main gym on the west side (refreshment stand) continuing on to the staircase, and then proceeding up the stairs.  At the top of the stairs, turn to the right.

BASEBALL 

• Varsity/Sophomore field is north of the building at the east end, near the tennis courts.
• Freshman field is north of the building at the west end.

BASKETBALL

• Varsity games are played in the main gym.  The entrance for varsity games is on the south side of the building at the east end (pool entrance).
• Underlevel games may be played in the main gym or in one of the following locations:  
  Back gym--accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing past the staircase, and proceeding to the end of the building.
  North shelf--Accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing on to the staircase, and then proceeding up the stairs.  Or by going up the stairs located inside the lower east entrance, outside of the main gym, and proceeding past the upper bleachers.

GIRLS BOWLING

•  Non-conference home matches are at AMF Hoffman Lanes, 80 W. Higgins Road, just west of Roselle Road on the north side of Higgins Road.
• Conference matches are at AMF Rolling Meadows Lanes, located on Kirchoff Road.  Take Higgins Road to Route 53, travel north and exit east (right) at Kirchoff Road.  AMF is just past Kimball Hill Park (north side)  and Library Road (south side).

CROSS COUNTRY

• All cross country meets are run at Barrington Pond, located on the west side of Barrington Road, just south of Higgins Road, across from St. Alexius Hospital.

FOOTBALL

• Varsity/Sophomore games are played in the stadium, located at the far east end of the property.
• Freshman games may be played in the stadium or at one of the two following locations:

  The football field located directly north of the varsity baseball diamond (see above); or

  The football field located directly west of the varsity baseball diamond.

GOLF 

• Boys golf team plays at Poplar Creek Golf Course.   Travel west of the school on Higgins Road, turn south on Moon Lake Blvd, then right on Poplar Creek Drive.  Moon Lake Blvd. is east of Barrington Road.  Poplar Creek Drive is approximately one block south of the fire station located on the east side of Moon Lake Blvd.
• Girls golf team plays at Highland Woods Golf Course, located north of the Northwest Tollway on Ela Road, in between Central Road and Algonquin Road (Route 62).  Ela Road is approximately one-half mile west of Roselle Road.

GYMNASTICS

• Meets take place in the gymnastics room, which can accessed by walking through the west side of the main gym and continuing past the staircase.  The gymnastics room will be on the left side of the hallway. 

BOYS LACROSSE

• JV games are played on campus, either on the North Practice Field (directly north of the varsity baseball diamond) or in the stadium.
• Varsity games are played in the stadium.

BOYS SOCCER

• Varsity games are played in the stadium.
• Underlevel games may be played in the stadium or at one of the following locations:
  Freshman--the soccer field located at the far west end of the property and north of the building
  Sophomore--the soccer field directly east of the freshman field.

GIRLS SOCCER

• Varsity games are played in the stadium.
• Underlevel games may be played in the stadium or at one of the following locations:
  Junior Varsity--the soccer field located directly north of the varsity baseball diamond (see above);
  Sophomore--Cottonwood Park--from the school travel west on Higgins Road to Huntington Blvd (Hilldale Golf Club sign on the right, Hoffman Estates Park District building on left). Turn right (north) on Huntington.  When you get to Hassell Road (first and only stop sign), turn right. Travel approximately two blocks, going past Parkview Circle West (on north side of street), and turning left on Parkview Circle East. Field is approximately one block north and on the right side of the street.
• Freshman--the soccer field is located directly north of the varsity baseball diamond.

SOFTBALL

• Varsity diamond is located at the far north and west end of the property.
• Underlevel diamond is located directly east of the varsity diamond at the far north end of the property.

Swimming

• The pool is on the south side of the building at the east end.  The pool may be accessed by using either the far southeast entrance or the lower level entrance to the gym, which is the next to last entrance at the east end of the building.

TENNIS

• The tennis courts are located at the far east end of the property, just north of the parking lot.

TRACK AND FIELD

• All home meets are run at the Stadium, located directly east of the school building.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

• Varsity/Junior Varsity matches are played in the main gym.
• Freshman matches are played in the back gym, accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing past the staircase, and proceeding to the end of the building.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

• Varsity/Junior Varsity matches are played in the main gym.
• Underlevel games may be played in the main gym or in one of the following locations:  
  Sophomore and Freshman A matches are played in the back gym, accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing past the staircase, and proceeding to the end of the building.
  Freshman B matches are played on the North Shelf, accessed by walking through the main gym, on either side, continuing on to the staircase, and then proceeding up the stairs.  Or by going up the stairs located inside the lower east entrance, outside of the main gym, and proceeding past the upper bleachers.

Water Polo

• The pool is on the south side of the building at the east end.  The pool may be accessed by using either the far southeast entrance or the lower level entrance to the gym, which is the next to last entrance at the east end of the building.

WRESTLING

• Matches are held in the main gym.
