"Ryan Prais will run for the Eagles at the State Cross Country meet this weekend"
Lakes gave Ryan Prais his first state sendoff this morning. Ryan, a freshman cross country runner, has qualified for this weekends state cross country meet in Peoria. Ryan will have nice weather tomorrow to try to bring back a state medal for the Lakes Eagles. We wish him the best of luck this weekend. Good Luck at State.

"FOOTBALL GAME TIME SET FOR SATURDAY AT 7:00 PM (at Lakes Polley Field)"
The Lakes Eagles will play their first ever home playoff game at Polley Field on Saturday November 7th at 7:00 pm. Gates will open at 5:30 pm for entry to the game. This is an IHSA Playoff game and entry to the game will be $5 for all students and fans.

"LAKES FINE ARTS PLAY HAMLET WILL CONCLUDE WITH A FINAL PLAY THAT HAS BEEN MOVED TO SUNDAY at 7:00 PM."

The LCHS Fine Arts Department presents Hamlet by William Shakespeare Thursday 11/5 @ 7pm, Friday 11/6 @ 7pm, Saturday 11/7 @ 2pm and Sunday 11/8 @ 7pm. Ticket prices are $5 for students and $7 for adults. This tale of ghosts, revenge, love and death runs 2 hours. Tickets can be purchased in advance in the LCHS main office, in the cafeteria during lunch hours and at the door.

"Lakes Sweeps Cross County Division Titles in both Boys and Girls Cross Country for the 2nd straight year."
Lakes High completed a clean sweep through the Prairie Division of the North Suburban Conference on Monday as the speedy Eagles raced past host Grant in a dual meet at Camp Henry Horner. Lakes' boys team won 20-43 and the girls team won 18-43, and both squads finished a perfect 6-0 in the division

"Winter Sports Begin Soon. Get your Clearance Cards (Beginning Oct 19th)"
Our winter sports season will begin soon. Dont forget to get your clearance cards for your winter sports. The card must be obtained before you can practice for your winter sport. To get your card you must sign the athletic code (with a parent signature), have a current physical (good for one year), have all school fees paid up, and you will have to have passed 4 classes in the last semester. If you meet these requirements you will be cleared to practice. If you do not you will not be allowed to practice. 

Girls Basketball will begin tryouts NOVEMBER 2nd, Boys Basketball, Girls Bowling, and Wrestling will begin tryouts NOVEMBER 9th.
