GROYA'S BIG DAY SPARKS LT AT INVITE

Gigi Groya contributed to three first-place finishes to lead Lyons Township to a second-place finish at the Barrington Invitational Saturday.

The Lions (308) finished just behind Barrington (314) and ahead of Loyola (240).

Groya won the 100-yard freestyle (53.79) and 100 backstroke (58.36) and teamed with Erika Ronning, Jennifer Weigand and Allison Noe to win the 400 free relay (3:39.87).

LT also defeated Downers Grove North 121-65 Oct. 8 in a West Suburban Conference Silver Division dual meet.
