The Marist Big Red Basketball Program is pleased to extend an invitation to all area grammar school to participate in our Eighth Grade Boy’s Basketball Shootouts. Each participating team will play two games on their shootout day, and Marist t-shirts will be handed out to each of the participants. Available dates and times for the shootouts, along with the entry form, can be downloaded by CLICKING HERE.
Over 100 invitations have been mailed to the best junior high and grade school teams in the Chicagoland area. For each shootout day scheduled, we will accept the first four teams from whom we receive the registration form and fee.
The deadline for entries to sign up for a shootout date is Saturday, November 21, 2009. As soon as teams sign up, we will post their registration on our basketball website at www.marist.net, scroll athletics, and choose boys’ basketball. This basketball website will update daily to indicate which teams are playing in particular shootouts and which sessions have already been filled.
We urge you to mail your registration form, shootout day request, and entry fee as soon as possible. The fee for each participating team is $70.00, and checks should be made payable to Marist High School at 4200 W. 115th Street, Chicago, IL 60655. Please address the envelope to the attention of Coach Gene Nolan.
