"Nazareth Baseball Showcase Ends With a Success!"

Congratulations to The Scorpions (Minella) who won the Nazareth Baseball Showcase.

The Consolation winner was Homer Crush. Other Winners on Sunday were the R.B. Bulldogs and Chicago Cobras. Thanks to all teams for participating in this tournament!

"Baseball Finishes Season Ranked"

The 2009 Varsity Baseball Team finished ranked 15th in the Chicago Sun-Times & 22nd in the state according to the Prep Baseball Report. The 2009 squad advanced to the elite eight, furthest any team has advanced in school history. Ryan Pacyga was named all-state, all conference & all area Suburban Life. Steve DalPorto & Chris Wanderling were named all conference & all area Suburban Life. Michael Moles was named all conference and honorable mention Suburban Life. Anthony Barreto was named honorable mention Suburban Life.

"Ryan Pacyga Named All-State"

2009 graduate Ryan Pacyga was named by the Illinois Coaches Association as an All-State first baseman. Ryan will play on June 27 in Peoria. Ryan set the season single record for home runs with ten this year. He will play his college baseball at John Carroll College in Ohio.
