"Girls Basketball Regional Pairing Information"
The girls basketball team will begin regional play on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 6:00 PM in Minooka against Bradley Bourbonnais.  The winner of that game will advance to the regional championship game at Minooka on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 PM against the winner of the NCHS/Minooka game.

Directions to Minooka:

Take I-55 N for 86 miles.
Take exit 250B (I-80 west) for 4 miles.
Take exit 122. At end of ramp, turn left (south) onto N Ridge Rd.
Go 1 mile, turn left onto W. McEvilly Rd.
Go about 1/2 to Minooka H.S. on your left.

"Freshman Girls Basketball Games Canceled For Monday, Feb. 8 and Wednesday, Feb. 10"
The freshman girls basketball games scheduled for Monday, Feb. 8 (vs. Centennial) and Wednesday, Feb. 10 (vs. MacArthur) have both been canceled due to lack of enough players from Centennial and MacArthur.  These games will not be rescheduled.

"Minute Clinic Available For Sports Physicals"
The Minute Clinic located inside of CVS at 1130 S. Veterans Parkway in Bloomington is offering sports physicals for $30.  No appointment is necessary, and they are open seven days a week:  Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; and Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

"American Family Insurance Teen Safe Driving Pledge Contest Update"
Normal West H.S. is one of 412 schools from across the country that has been specifically chosen by American Family Insurance to participate in the Teen Safe Driving Pledge Contest.  Participating schools have a chance to win $25,000, $10,000, or $5,000 along with other prizes.  To help Normal West win these prizes, parents and students need to sign the on-line pledge that is located at www.teensafedriver.com/pledge.  The schools with the highest percentage of pledges will win the prizes.

"Varsity Boys Basketball Falls At Lincoln"
Brad Hallstein had 25 points, and Austin Stewart added 21, but the varsity boys basketball team lost at Lincoln by the score of 85-75.  Taylor Scheuermann had 10 points for the Wildcats as they fell to 16-9 overall.

Matt Frey won the 100 butterfly, and Koby Moore won the 100 freestyle to lead the Wilcats to a fourth place finish at the Big 12 Conference meet in Urbana on Saturday.  The 200 medley relay team finished third as did Koby Moore in the 50 freest
