49th Annual Holiday Tournament field remains mostly intact!

The field for the 49th year of the Proviso West Holiday tournament has changed only slightly, by adding some local flavor to the already exciting mix of teams from last years tournament. The Red Devils of Hinsdale Central will coming this year in place of the Zee-Bees.
The Red Devils have previously played in the tournament for a total of five years with a record of 8 wins and 7 losses. Their best finish was fourth place in 1962, where they beat Forest View and Riverside-Brookfield but last to Maine West and Highland Park. in 1965 they suffered a loss to East Leyden in the first round but went all the way to the Consolation Champioship where they took down Downers Grove North. The Red Devils were represented in the 1962 All-Tournament selections by Bill Koch and again in 1965 by Parker Wellington. The complete field of the 49th Annual Proviso West Holiday Tournament is: Evanston, Fenwick, Foreman, Glenbrook North, Hillcrest, Hinsdale Central, Homewood-Flossmoor, Morton, New Trier, Proviso East, Proviso West, Saint Joseph, Saint Patrick, Thornton Fractional North, Von Steuben and Whitney-Young.
