Volleyball Takes Down National Power Wheaton St. Francis!
Day 2 of the Asics Challenge: Ranked 7th in the nation and 2nd in the state, Wheaton St. Francis has been a force to be reckoned with for well over 3 decades. They came into Saturday's match versus the Sandburg Eagles 21-0. In less than 45 minutes, they walked out with their first loss with scores of 25-21, 25-23. It was truly a team effort with the turning point coming on a tremendous dig by Michelle Egan on one of the nation's best attackers Kelsey Robinson. The day ended with the Eagles taking 4th place. Losses to Plant, FL and Assumption, KY could not put a damper on such a terrific morning match. The team finished ahead of seven nationally ranked teams. The coaching staff could not be prouder of the tremendous efforts of the girls. GO Eagles!
