Regional Championship for Volleyball
Amanda Kijewski led with nine kills and Kara Kentner had seven, as the Lady Eagles won the Lincoln Way North Regional Championship. MaryKate Imrie had 21 assists and 8 digs and Kendra Mikuta had 13 digs as a balanced offense, solid defense, and aggressive serving made all the difference. After cruising to a game one win 25-12, the Marian Catholic Spartans came out much more aggressive as they knew they were playing for their playoff lives. After falling behind as late as 13-15, the team went on a huge run to put the match away 25-19. Jenny Buczek and Lanie Muys each had 5 kills on the night. The team will play Stagg at Eisenhower at 6pm on Tuesday. Come cheer them on to victory!
