The day after a 8-0 defeat at the hands of conference rival Nucha Valley, the Storm rebounded at Hampshire. Bart Mazurek scored 4 goals before half (assists: Onyx Gonzalez (2), Ben Kantor, and Bret Hildebrandt) and Onyx Gonzalez added a goal after Mazurek's third to give South Elgin a 5-0 halftime lead. Second half scores were by Dan Bohlin (assist Bart Mazurek), Devin Crockett (assist Matt Shipon), David Velasquez (assist Josh Hoeg), and Nick Pawlowski (assist David Velasquez) for the final of 9-0. The Storm play the winner of Plainfield East and Chicago-Noble Charter School in the semifinals Saturday morning at 9:45 at Hampshire High School.
