After a physical semifinal match in the morning (Plainfield East 2-0, 2 goals by Bart Mazurek assists goals in the opening 15 minutes: 2 goals Bart Mazurek; 1 - Dan Bohlin; 1 - Nick Pawlowski; assists 2 - Onyx Gonzalez, Bart Mazurek, and Matt Shipon for a 4-0 halftime lead. Second half goals by Bart Mazurek, Alberto Bustamonte (freshman call up), and Nick Pawlowski, assists Onyx Gonzalez, Bryan Irwin, and unassisted led the way to the tournament title. Ryan Hicks had 6 saves for his third consecutive shut out. South Elgin, is 11-2-1 on the year (3-1 in conference). The Storm play at Larkin (Memorial Field) Monday.
