DIRECTOR’S GENERAL MEETING APRIL 10, 2002 Scheduling
occurred between 8:00 and 9:45 a.m.
Meeting called to order at 9:50 a.m. Trophys
Are Us set up meeting for trophies/awards for next year. Les
Duncan passed out schedules. Wrestling
– Tom Heniff proposed 5th official for the conference
tournament. Put before the general
body. Positive response. Conference
fees were reviewed to see if they need to be increased. Consensus was not to increase fees. Handbook

Girls Basketball - Supply balls at home games -
Supply water & cups at home games -
12 girls selected for all-conference team for those
conferences with 6 schools -
Certificates supplied for all-conference honorable mention
members -

sectional complexes - Rich Piatchek explained the dates/times,
Monday/Tuesday/Saturday. IADA
state conference report – Larry Bernard from Bolingbrook is the Athletic
Director of the Year. Murphy
golf outing is May 16th.
Golf outing begins at noon.
Athletic Director’s meeting is from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Tom
Sidote reported on winter assignment chair evaluations. IHSA
will use the old scoring format for this year. Handbook
revisions were approved for track, volleyball, soccer, tennis, football,
softball, and baseball. Page

Board of Control approved club status for Argo bowling and volleyball. Board
of Control approved boys’ bowling as a SICA sport. Board
of Control approved poms/cheerleading should be included with athletics for
requesting SICA Athletic/Academic Awards. The
Board of Control rotation question came up.
Principal from Oak Forest made a proposal for rotation. No motion made. Proposal dropped. Contracts
indicate which levels can be officially counted for IHSA contests. Mega
conference job description will be distributed by Larry Bernard. Tom
Sidote passed out conference sites for next year. OLD BUSINESS Motion
made by Tom Sidote to increase wrestling fee to $200.00, seconded by Mark
Sutton. Approved 32-0. Motion
to adjourn made by Tom Sidote, seconded by Larry Bernard. Meeting adjourned 11:05
