"Candlelight Bowl a huge Success!" |
The Inaugural Candlelight Bowl fundraiser for both the Boy's & Girls teams was a huge success!. Over 40 family, friends and supporters came out to bowl and have good time to raise funds for the teams. Rich Pollack from the Boosters was on hand helped run the raffles!
Our Inaugural Winner of 1st Place was Steve and Sue Wysocke.
Trophies provided by Andersen Trophy of downtown Elgin Food provided by Jeff Turner of In The Neighborhood Deli Snacks and Desserts provided by the families
A banner saying "Home of the Green Wave, Boy's and Girl's Bowling was permanently hung over the lanes and provided by Rich and Jeanine Galati of Quality Werks Auto Body of Algonquin.
Many raffle items donated by local merchants.

"Green Wave drop opener against Oswego East" |
The young Green Wave took on a seasoned Oswego East team with Oswego taking all match points and defeating the Green Wave 2,832 to 2,186.
The team was lead by Blake Poremba who shot a 519 series, with a high game of 204 and averaged 173. He was followed by Dean Galati with 488 series, high game 168 and an average of 163; Drew Thomas with a 422 series, high game 161 and an average of 140; Brian Rieger with a 389 series, high game 135 and an average of 129; Eric Winters with a 363 series, high game 148 and an average of 121. Justin Wysocke and Christian Favela also participated.
